Like most great recipes,Tandoori Chicken its origins lies with Kundan Lal Gujral, a Hindu Punjabi who opened a restaurant called Moti Mahal in Peshawer in the 1920s when India was ruled by British. After partition in 1947 Kundan Lal Gujral moved his restaurant to Delhi. Eventually the Indian dish popularized and commonly found in menus in Indian and other restaurants all over the world.
